SCHOOLS AND DAYCARE CENTRES

We welcome groups of children from schools and childcare centres. Come visit us and enjoy an enriching day, learning about Sámi culture and reindeer herding.

Your experience

Visits start between 9 and 10am, and they usually last three to four hours.

Children are invited to meet the friendly reindeer and help feed them. Visitors young and old will learn many fascinating details about this amazing Arctic animal.

During your visit, the children can also try their hand at lasso casting, learn some Sámi words, and perhaps even learn some joik, the traditional Sámi singing.

We’ll divide you into two teams and give you a quiz with questions about the Sámi. There is a small prize for the winning team!

Lunch is served by the fire inside our lavvo. You decide whether to bring your own packed lunch, request samples of Sámi specialities, or have us prepare a full Sámi meal for everyone. Feel free to bring food you can prepare on the fire!

Each programme is tailored to the age of the children!

Practical information:
Most of the day is spent outdoors, so it is important that everyone is wearing good warm clothing that is suitable for activities!

Price: By agreement
